Learning Resources have done a good job of combining educational features (coloring, sorting, fruit/vegetable identification) with a great playset this is perfect for your child's play kitchen. The set contains 5 plastic "Farmers' Market" baskets with 25 pieces of play food (5 of each color). I chose this item mainly because I wanted to add some extra fruit and veg to our in-game meal. The learning opportunities with this set are just an added bonus for me. There is a wide variety of food in the game, including some you don't typically see in other food sets in the game (eggplant, cucumber, pumpkin, 3 different color peppers, yellow apple). , peach, plum). As with all learning resources that play food, the quality is amazing. As a caregiver and mother, I saw enough plastic toy food and compared a lot before I bought toy food for our play kitchen. Unlike others, this chuck is a good size, very detailed, and made of soft plastic (it flexes a bit when squeezed). Take a look at my photos and you'll see some comparisons between "other" in-game food (left) and food from Learning Resources (right). You will see from the picture that the Learning Resources food looks much more realistic. To give you an idea of the size, I also included a picture of a tomato and orange peppers on the counter in our play kitchen (Ikea duktig). Another nice touch is that the sorting baskets are color coded on the outside and inside of the basket. It is a thoughtful detail that helps children who can look into the basket while sorting. As long as I use this at home the food looks realistic and long lasting and there are many learning opportunities with the set, it would also make a great addition to a nursery/school.** I bought this product at full price from our home too use.
