I used this pretty ribbon on a Little Red Riding Hood picnic hamper bag. fun and cute. The candy basket came with a lower quality ribbon which was fine but I go as a slightly upscale Little Red Riding Hood and my sweetheart is a fancy wolf so I wanted the ribbon to be more luxurious if not too harsh or expensive. That 1.5 inch width was just right for the purpose. I wasn't sure if I wanted grosgrain or double faced satin. In general, I prefer grosgrain because I like the matte finish, which looks elegant to me and binds very well. But in this case, the softness of the satin is just right. Thanks to the people who answered my question, it will fit normally. rough on the other side. It's brilliant white, doesn't glare, feels silky smooth and still ties well. You will like it.
