Works well with the Uniden radio I purchased and the cord is long enough to run from the back of my sedan through the trunk to the dash where the spare length radio is located. The magnet is strong and I've had no problem moving it around while riding and I don't see any problems unless you risk hitting a branch with it knocking it over so I wedged it between the bars. my roof rack and no more problems.
