Appearance: Fluffy! This thing is so soft on the skin and it looks very pretty. Sherpa really is the best way to describe it. Thoughts: It's not too heavy at 15 pounds, but most of the weight seems to come from the fabric itself. It's really thick and luxurious and very soft. It is indeed a very good blanket with some weight. It's a good size (I ordered 60x80) and takes up a lot of space. It keeps you very, very warm! Overall: This is a great blanket if you really need to stay warm during the winter months or want to turn off the air conditioning and sleep under a warm blanket.
