Pros: fits/charges in my 17.3 HP laptop. It seems to charge just as fast if not faster than the original factory charger. At $12 it was cheaper, or rather cheap. The fork is actually better and stiffer than the original. Not great: The cord is pretty short, about 5 feet, so make sure the outlet is within 3 feet or so. The transformer box heats up fairly quickly, but doesn't seem to get very hot - we'll see. Also, my kit had a small USB adapter attached to the cable about 6 inches from the L-shaped connector. This feature isn't in any of the product shots/descriptions and isn't mentioned in any of the reviews I've read so I'm not sure what to do about it. The key is permanently attached to the cable and frankly just adds bulk to the power cable. I mean, most computers come with a full set of USB plug-ins, so it seems like just an extra item that plugs into something rather than actually being of any use. Time will tell how reliable this charger is so I will be upgrading the star after using it and seeing the reliability.
