Today my Hitachi electrocuted me on my thigh as soon as I turned it on and nearly set me on fire when just 2 seconds later it started blasting flames into my face from the back of the cord to throw my clothes and my hair . Not only did he burn my shirt and leg, he nearly set my bed on fire, but thank god he turned the switch off and the power went out. It was really awful. I went online and found that over 700 Hitachi employees had done the same but had done nothing to fix a SERIOUS security threat. I've had this for two years now and until the cable caught fire it showed absolutely no signs of malfunction. Thank god I wasn't electrocuted/burned more seriously than the exposed wires, which were invisible until I was very closely examined before they malfunctioned, touched my skin and burned me. DO NOT BUY THIS UNTIL YOU SOLVE THE PROBLEMS!
