After trying different sizes I can say that our old 8.5W pair that used to fit (outgrown it) fits just as well as the new 10.5D pair we just got. My daughter's usual shoe size is 10.5 and both flats are too small for her to wear heels. I think they still need half an inch to fit. A year ago we also had a problem with the dimensions: 8.5D is too small and 8.5W. My daughter has narrow feet.
