After reading many reviews about your iPad cracking when you put it down, I microwaved it for a little over a minute. I periodically turned off the microwave and turned the case over to make sure it wasn't too hot. I found that heating it softened it up a bit so I could easily carry it with my iPad. It's definitely not flexible right out of the box, so be careful. Having said that, I still LOVE this case for my 8 year old son. It really protects the device and is great for kids!
