Purchased for outdoor landscape path lighting. My light is mostly upside down jellies. I had 15 watt lightbulbs 20-30 years ago but eventually they went out. I've tried several CFLs, they don't work in this application. Condensation in the sun is terrible, so after a few months the CFLs just went out. The smallest Edison based LEDs were too bright. These are clear glass, not frosted as shown in the picture, so they are slightly brighter than regular frosted glass and look great under a jelly jar light on the sidewalk. I install with a small amount of dielectric grease on the base to prevent condensation from corroding the base/socket. It's been about a year since I've had them, they go out every night and only one out of 12 lightbulbs on a walk has ever gone out. Overall excellent and you couldn't beat the price.
