I've been using Otterbox for a long time and am very disappointed that they didn't keep the Note 8 Defender's built in screen protector. This case is a worthy replacement when you need a built-in screen protector. It's not as strong as an otter, but it doesn't feel fragile in the hand. All in all, it's worth the money and serves it's purpose for me. Update: the phone had two crashes (my kids knocked it off a table height) both of which contained a couple of rolls. I am pleased to report that the device was not affected. There is a small scratch on the case, but it's not very visible. I am also very happy with the sensitivity of the screen protector. Otterbox should be ashamed of their offer.
