Not as described, poor customer service

The decoration itself is normal, decent quality but not as nice as the pictures. The packaging was my biggest problem. It was packaged in a standard white box wrapped in tissue paper, while the decoration pictures clearly show a beautiful old world Christmas box. Customer service was also disappointing. I contacted Avalanche Brands and they said they would deliver one of the boxes they sent me. Eventually I got one but after a few weeks they said it would arrive and they said it would be shipped. When it arrived it was an ordinary old world Christmas box, similar to the one in the photo but not the same and clearly not intended for this decoration. The box that appeared was not even suitable for decoration, as the decoration was 5.5 inches high and the box was only about 4 inches wide.

Pros

The grandfather clock stands regally in the lobby and counts down the minutes and hours every day. It is widely used in both nursery rhymes and fairy tales. In Dickens' A Christmas Carol, Scrooge listens to his clock chime and announces the arrival of his ghostly visitors.
