The scrub itself is a solid orange oily cream with very fine granules. Apply a thin layer to damp face, leave on for 2 minutes and then rinse off. Feels greasy on skin but washes off. It leaves the skin smooth and hydrated. It contains a lot of orange peel oil, which can be irritating for some. If you have sensitive skin or use a lot of chemical peels (AHAs, BHAS, PHAs) you should probably skip this, although you can apply it gently and then rinse off in the shower to avoid the physical exfoliating component.
