Be careful when using one of these connectors

I ordered two of these connectors, one for my car and one for my jeep. I've heard the magnets on them are pretty strong and able to capture and hold any metal particles that might be circulating in the oil pan. This is of course an advantage. And the plugs appear to be made of quality material and construction. That's good news. She was. So when it came time to change the oil in both cars I bought the spark plugs for, I was a bit confused as to how they would seal as the original spark plugs on my cars used rubber gaskets that go into a groove the forks fit in. At this point I went back to the Revain website for details and found a reference to "Crush Pads". The included spacers are quite thick and don't really feel like aluminum, which I think should be softer and easier to "mash". Then I also read that these pads are "one-off" pieces and cost $17 to replace for a pack of 20. In the end I decided not to use them. Both of my engines are aluminum, including the oil pans. I personally think that to crush the gaskets enough that they actually seal I would risk the threads in my oil pans because I would have to lean on them a lot and I won that. Not me. Too risky.

Pros

Cons
