The reason I bought this was because I needed a few extra bucks to complete my order to be eligible for free shipping. At first I didn't need a special stand for the iPad. But oh my god I really LOVE it once I started using it. The design was easy to use. You push to slide and pull to lean. There is a recess for the charging cable on the underside. It is light in weight and has a very simple design. I no longer have to find a way to stand my iPad up or try to turn a collapsible case into an awkward stand that doesn't work at all because it won't stay in place or is in the wrong orientation. With this stand, it's stable and you can use it whether you want your iPad upright or sideways. The only thing I would like to improve is the angle of the stand. For now, the only way to keep the iPad stable is to spread your legs as wide as possible so that the iPad's screen is facing slightly up. If I try to tilt the iPad's screen so that it faces more forward and less up (which means I need a smaller angle between my legs), the stand isn't very stable and could fall backwards. So the moving legs aren't very useful for adjusting the angle. It's more for storage and portability (so you either bring your legs closer together or stretch your legs as far apart as possible. This doesn't work well when trying the angle between them). If it could actually be set at a smaller angle, so the iPad faces more forward and less up, that would be ideal. Regardless, I think it's a lifesaver for Skype and watching movies. I'm thinking of buying a few more to give to others.
