I bought 4 of these and 3 of them seem to be working fine but California's rainy season hasn't started yet so I can't comment on their waterproof rating. I'm disappointed that 1 out of 4 didn't have a waterproof case at all. I have some doubts about the quality of the product. I am about to return it for a refund. I decided to try another brand with a custom waterproof micro USA plug that AMAZON also offers. It's 1.5 feet shorter but seems better suited for waterproofing.
