Yamaha YH-E700A Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones, YH-E700ABLI lives in a house with her husband, son and daughter who are all gamers. When they're not playing on their systems/devices, they're watching TV or YouTube. I'm the only reader and it's hard because it sounds LOUD here. I've been considering noise-cancelling headphones for a while, but wasn't sure even they could do the job. But I'm tired of having to go to another room when I want to read, so my husband convinced me to try this Yamaha headset. Holy cow - I don't know WHAT I was thinking after waiting so long because this set is a miracle! Seriously - even when worn without music or white noise, they reduce the sound of my own voice or the voice of others by more than half. When I hook them up to music, I literally can't hear people talking around me. And make no mistake - I don't listen to breakneck music at 147 volume. I listen to the cello or other classical pieces at a comfortable volume. The headset simply blocks out ambient noise and voices incredibly. Charging and pairing is very easy. It connects to charge via a USB-C cable, the connection is reliable and charges quickly. Once charged, the battery lasts a long time - I've never lost a charge while using it. Pairing was very easy - it recognized my phone straight away and once paired it stays that way. The headphones are very comfortable to wear. I was afraid they would feel clunky and heavy like my husband's gaming headset. Not at all. The ear pads are thick and soft, and the set weighs less than I thought it would, especially considering the excellent sound quality. And make no mistake - it sounds GREAT. In my opinion, classical music is a great way to test the quality of a sound system and this one far exceeds my expectations. Individual instruments sound crisp and clear, there is no hiss or hiss, and the clarity of the sound is admirable. It was a brilliant solution to my noise problem and my only regret is waiting so long to get the set!
