This phone mount was used to replace a broken one. So far it holds an iPhone 12 Pro Max and a Samsung Note 9 with no problem. The only problem I've found so far is that after many bumps (over time) I have to adjust the main arm at the base because it will fall . Have done it twice so far. I hope I got it tight enough that it doesn't anymore. The angle adjustment can also gnaw depending on the finger size. Will be updated if problems arise.
