Review on 🌿 Revitalize Your Skin with Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil - 1.02 Oz by Jennifer Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wonder oil. Feel free to get it!

I love Mad Hippie and have great confidence in their products. Did you know that many high-end organic beauty retailers that sell oil serums use oils that naturally go rancid within a very short time? I say 3-6 months from the date the oil was made. Think about how long it takes for an oil to go from production, through product creation, packaging by the manufacturer, shipping to Revain/retailers and to you. If you do, you may end up with rancid oils on your face! Pooh! I checked all the ingredients in this product and none of them have a short shelf life. Now for the quality of the product. Initially, my skin was very beautiful and healthy, but I noticed that after a few months of using this product, my pores were noticeably smaller. It also helps heal acne faster. This oil is now my go-to oil before and after my period and whenever I see signs of a breakout. Just 3 drops are enough to saturate my face. My husband has very sensitive skin and had severe razor burn on his neck after shaving, even when using the right lotion, aftershave etc. He started using this neck oil 12-24 hours after shaving, his neck looks a lot better than before and he says he feels better too. This is a product for the whole family! I have no illusions that this product contains the highest quality ingredients, but I did extensive research on antioxidant oils at other natural beauty stores and chose Mad Hippie because (1) the oils don't go rancid on me after a few months and ( 2) the price is 20% of what other organic and natural product retailers charge for potentially fewer products. Thanks to these ingredients, my skin has improved and I'm sticking with it! On average we used 2 drops each day and this vial lasted 10 months. Oil ages over time. We kept it in a first aid kit in an indoor bathroom with no air conditioning (but we only have 2 months of hot weather in New England) and after 8 months it started to smell a little. (For those new to EO, heat and humidity break down oils, so bathrooms aren't the best place to store them, but sealed first-aid kits in bathrooms are better than nothing.) Buy a smaller bottle and pour some oil from the larger bottle and then refrigerate to extend shelf life. If you're storing butter in the fridge, place the butter bottle in a plastic bag or airtight container in case it spills or breaks - you don't want it ruining your food.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
