Superb tatami

I have been using this tatami for Shikibuton for about 2 months since I decided to throw away my western bed and I really like it. I also use it during the day, I fold it up and use it as a seat on the floor while folding my laundry, using my laptop, etc. - A tatami mat is slightly wider and longer than the double sized shikibuton I have how. That way my sheets don't touch the floor. They have a pleasant herbal scent. Initially, the scent really filled my small bedroom, but now I can't smell it anymore. I'm not sure if it's because I've gotten used to it or if the smell has really gone. It is thin so it is very easy to fold and slide behind furniture. Sometimes I feel like I would prefer it to be thicker than a traditional tatami. But of course that would make it heavier and bulkier and it wouldn't be as easy to hide it out of sight. The backing of the rug is a felt material that provides excellent adhesion to carpet or area rugs, but will slip on hardwood and tile. The shikibuton does not slide sideways on the tatami but can slide up and down as the grass is woven in that direction. But slippage was minimal for me. This rug appears to be durable. Two months later, he still looks like the first day. No protruding threads, raised or broken grass. - No English instructions are provided at all, but you can use the camera function in the Google Translate app.
