My well water is very hard, mineral content is off the charts. I bought it for my dishwasher and washing machine. I was hoping this would get rid of the stains on my glasses. It wasn't that efficient for that. However, I used it to clean a self-watering dog bowl. The water tank quickly gets a nasty tan from mineral deposits and I've never been able to clean it. Now I fill it with water, add a scoop of CA and let it sit for a couple of hours. When I come back it's sparkling clean, just like the day I bought it. Zero cleaning is not required. I also use it to clean my coffee maker which I had to replace about every 6 months because it was clogged with debris. Because of this, my current one runs much longer than its usual death date. I use it in dishwashers and washing machines although I don't see any evidence that it works on dishes or clothes because I'm sure it keeps the insides clean which extends the life of those appliances. I am preparing for a repeat order. Update 24th March 2019 Having used this product consistently in my dishwasher (every wash) for the past few months I have to revise my original review. The cloudiness of my glasses is gone. They look clean for the first time since I bought this house 4 years ago. This is really good stuff.
