While others have indicated that it is very light it feels sturdy. I replaced my old Jeep with one after three attempts at applying epoxy to keep the original in place. Suction cup on that very sticky silicone material used for dashboard phones that hold things up. It also gets stuck without the suction lever activated, so I don't think it's going to fall off any time soon. It doesn't have a day/night switch, but the mirror's blue tint helps reduce glare at night. Although not mentioned, the blue mirror is optically very clear and flat, just like a mirror should be, with no odd curves around the edges. Also, the glass appears to be stain resistant as no fingerprints are left on the glass after installation.
