For many years my wife and I used a thin comforter for our bed and ended up buying something *more luxurious* for our king bed. The amount of research we did was incredible. We finally settled on this duvet and we were NOT disappointed. It offers the perfect fluffiness and warmth without being too hot. Everyone's body temperature is different, and no duvet cover is suitable for 100% of people. That being said I think this pad will fit at least 75% of people and I say this because my wife is a cool sleeper and I sleep on the warm side and this pad works for both of us. Add to that the fact that it has square ties and you have a real winner. Pros: 1) Perfect temperature (I have a feeling it probably accounts for 90% of the rating alone) 2) Perfect capacity. Not too thin and not too thick. 3) We'll end up with 6-8 inches of extra material on each side, so those with a high bed should be fine. 4) Our two cats love it! Cons: 1) This insert isn't the cheapest and is slightly more expensive than some of the others at Revain. Overall I think you get what you pay for in this range. The insert is great and works well. We plan to use this insert year round. If that changes or if we get too hot, I will update this review. Overall, for the time being, we will without a doubt give 5 stars. insertion
