I live in southern California and do physical labor and hike to work and play outdoors: it's tough on bras, which of course are expensive and definitely difficult to get right collect. Instead I started wearing bikini tops and it worked great; I recently bought this in hopes of updating my previous lace bra and am very happy with it. Short straps and criss-cross straps put too much pressure on my chronically tight heels and give me headaches, so I need a bra with straight shoulders. Strap, and the hook-and-loop closure means I don't have a knot of rope digging into my back when I lean against something. I also wanted removable cups and adjustable shoulder straps for durability. This top meets those criteria and feels durable and comfortable under clothing. The absence of unnecessary details - extraneous materials, rings, etc. - is ideal for minimizing heat and moisture retention, as well as maximizing mobility and invisibility under clothing. 10+ miles a day with a medium sized backpack. There were only two things that bothered me. The band is snug and *just* sits comfortably on the new one. I don't want it to be loose and I thought it would stretch a bit with use, but I was concerned that it might be an issue for comfortable chest stretching when panting, climbing Nevada Falls, etc. Everything was and is fine ever since though. I'm about 32B and 100 lbs. Another thing is that all the booklet with tags, which is inside the strap, is sewn into the "eye” side of the velcro: it itched a little. However, these also largely disappeared with use (I didn't cut them out for fear of creating even more jagged edges and exacerbating the problem). It's made to get wet and dry, and it handles it well. clothes, sweating with a shovel or on a trail. It also won't stink quickly, which is great. Overall it does what I chose from other options and at the best price.
