I was looking for a wider ball pit because my kids are a bit older and the youngest is 4 years old. I needed enough space for both to fit in. This one works great. The sides fit very well. You can see in the photo with penetrating light that the sides are rectangular pieces with oval holes placed between two pieces of fabric. I have a feeling they might break if your kid handles them really roughly, but I think that's probably how most of these types of ball pits are. Could have been better hence 4 stars. We have 600 balls in a more complete picture. This amount works, but you can definitely add more. It packs away easily and folds down to a nice small size for storage. The box it comes in shows how to fold it, just like the listing. The kids love it.
