I bought this Jean Square ottoman specifically to use as a side table for a chaise longue which I recently bought with the intention of converting it also to be used as additional seating if required. It has proven to be a good choice for both purposes. The ottoman itself is very sturdy - I'm 6ft 2in, just over 200lbs and it's rock solid, solid and comfortable as a seat for a person my height and weight. It's upholstered in matte black faux leather material, with padding on all but the bottom for a comfortable and relaxed fit, and at around 18 inches wide on each side, it's more than enough for a comfortable fit. on the back side. The clean lines and tight, clean stitching are perfect for my particular modernist decor, yet versatile enough in my opinion to suit a variety of styles and tastes. If necessary, it can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Most importantly, this ottoman is extremely strong. As mentioned, it supports my weight with ease and I think it could probably handle a lot more. The build quality is exceptional. Judging by the weight and strength of the stool, I concluded that it was made of good quality solid wood (not the cheap chipboard found in many pieces of furniture these days, which tends to fall apart fairly quickly) , and I expect many years of use from it. .
