These are not the shoes they were a few years ago when I bought my last pair from Nordstrom. I called Cole Haan to make sure I didn't get an unknown brand and am still trying to decide whether to keep it. The old sneaker was made in collaboration with Nike, and they used to put a lot of emphasis on having Nike Air technology in the heel. According to a customer service rep I spoke to, they are no longer in the new shoes. This is a problem with popular men's models. Companies continue to make popular shoes, but later in the process they destroy them by cheapening the design to increase profits. I don't blame them, but it makes the shoes unprofitable for the buyer. I had the same problem with another manufacturer. I am still debating whether to keep them or return them as they are nowhere near as comfortable as the previous model.
