I needed an external camera for my online college course. I bought this because it was cheap and delivery took 2 days. Initially it was a little tricky to set up as I have a Chromebook and couldn't easily plug it in. I had to use an old laptop and download a program for it, make a few tweaks to my internal camera settings and it worked great. I was amazed at the picture quality! The only thing I would change is that the clip on the camera is very delicate. If he could hug things more tightly that would be great. All in all, if you don't have a lot of money to spend on a camera, this camera is great! I would definitely order another one.
