Great for a 9 year old!
My 9 year old stepdaughter wore it to our wedding. That's good for her. (At that age, I think they're still pretty much unisex.) The material is durable enough that she could ride her bike and get it dirty before the ceremony. I threw it in the washing machine and it came out fine. She was very excited about being a cutting edge specialist ionist/ring bearer/secret agent while looking cool without a dress.
