I bought this heating pad for an outdoor cat that roams around my house. I tried to invite a cat but she is very suspicious and very scared of my dogs. After a couple of cold nights and a snow storm the cat was looking very thin and I thought I might invest in a heating pad so at least the cat has a warm place to hang out at night. I like the size of the heating pad. Ideal for a normal sized cat. I also really like the temperature control and the timer. I usually turn it on at sunset and just leave it on the highest temp and 12 hour timer. The highest temperature is not too high, and the cat seems to enjoy the heating pad very much. I saw him several times when he was lying on the mat and sleeping. A pillow warms a cat, and the sight of a warm kitten warms my heart.
