Review on 🧡 Stormshopping Snap-On Low Shank Adapter Presser Foot Holder: Compatible with Brother, Singer, Janome, Toyota, Kenmore Sewing Machines by Amanda Castillo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits my 1980's Singer 6212 so I can now use the multi pole kit

Got this adapter stem for my old Singer so I can use the kit I have Bought with multiple supports for Janome JemGold. I didn't know that Singer had "characteristic" legs for cars until I tried the legs in the kit. The singer's feet have a very narrow base, as opposed to the much wider "universal" leg base my Janome uses. In any case, this adapter worked. Not sure how it works on other brands but on my Singer you unscrew the stock screw, remove the existing stem and then attach this adapter to the clamp rod. Slide it toward the base of the U-shaped hole, and then tighten the screw against it. It took me a while to figure this out as the adapter doesn't have a hole. You should check the tightness of the screws; Mine sometimes comes undone (stitching multiple layers of denim probably won't help), and that would be an obvious problem. To attach/remove the presser foot, raise the lever on the back and lower/raise the presser foot of the machine. I'm glad this adapter exists; It's a lot cheaper than buying a bundle of custom Singer legs for almost the same price as a set of multiple legs! and that would be an obvious problem.
