We just recently purchased a Venta LW 25 because we were intrigued by the ability of the device to purify the air. After studying the design in greater detail and comparing the performance - it pumps 3.5 cubic meters of air per minute - we came to the conclusion that it should be more than capable of cleaning the air from dust. The ability to humidify the air was, however, the most important feature for us. In this regard, we need to make a stop in the method of humidification, which is referred to as "cold evaporation," and it is this method that I find to be the most acceptable. This is because it is impossible to over-moisten the air when using a cold evaporation humidifier, as is the case when using a steam humidifier. We were able to verify the efficacy of humidification even during the first few days of use. According to the hygrometer, our humidity was 19-22% when the heating was turned on. When the humidifier was turned on during the day, the humidity rose to 35%, which was already a significant increase. The humidity continued to rise the following day, reaching the recommended value of 40-50%. One can make an educated guess about how well it cleans the air by looking at the sediment that settles to the bottom of a tank that holds seven liters of water. At this point, it does not fall any lower. The sink is deserving of a high grade.
