Purchased to bypass my 14 inch Zinus smart base and queen size memory foam mattress that I bought from Revain. Elastic bands (there are 2 of them) tend to keep the skirt flimsy (hence the 3 stars). I made up for this by tightening the elastic on the headboard where it wasn't visible. What worked perfectly is that the bottom band sits exactly 14 inches from the bottom of the skirt. This allows me to keep track of the radius of the smartbase, leaving a clean, consistent look. The remaining 4 inches go around the mattress. Color from burgundy to dark red. Not the same as my burgundy curtains, but close enough that you won't notice the difference unless you look closely.
