First of all I'm not a backpacker and wasn't sure I wanted to take it on a plane. It holds SO MANY THINGS! I'm glad I bought it. I'm a small person and really could fit in everyone's pockets. It had 6 mugs from the Christmas market, hat, gloves, scarf, iPad, pens, notebook, sunglasses and there was room left for crackers, chocolates, waffle bars and I still had room to pack souvenirs! It easily traveled to Europe! We had good weather so I'm not sure about the waterproofing but I suspect the zip will let some water through in heavy rain as there is no valve to close it properly. The best part? It had a luggage strap that fit my handlebars! I haven't tried charging via USB yet.
