Review on High Sierra Jarvis Laptop Backpack Backpacks for Laptop Backpacks by Amy Claeys

Tweaks in the neck, but otherwise a great backpack

I really liked this backpack for two reasons. The first is its depth. I don't know why but "Business" and "Professional" backpacks are so thin these days. I mean come on, I'm a teacher. The 7 inch depth doesn't work for me unless I want to carry multiple bags. This one bag fits a couple of folders, notepads, folders, my 15 inch computer with charger and a lunch bag. This bag held everything and didn't feel too heavy. Second, this backpack has GREAT pockets. The zip pocket on the side of the bag was perfect for my charger and that alone made me want to keep the bag. The main compartment was roomy, the organizer was solid, and the head pocket was just great. What killed the bag for me were the shoulder straps. Another reviewer commented that the straps pinched her neck, and the same was true for me. There was pressure and pinching at the top of the straps where they went from narrow to wide. I don't know if it was because we were women and the pack didn't sit on top of us like men or something. If this bag had more comfortable straps, it would definitely be a keeper. Unfortunately, it has to be returned the way it is. By the way, the bag didn't get jammed because it was overloaded; I put the same items in another bag I bought and the difference was clear. Incidentally, the other packaging came from a different company and was intended for women. I never thought it would matter, but in this case it does.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Ok for the most part, but...
