I have owned several sound machines and this is one of my favorites! I have an idea why. There are various sounds to choose from, e.g. B. Piano Music x2, Static x2, Heartbeat, Rain with Thunder, Birds/Stream, Waves, Crickets and Crackling Fire. Overall, this little machine has the best quality of any portable sound machine I've tried (and even fewer portable ones). Which makes me suspicious of some reviews. It has a good volume range. The volume can be set quite high. Higher than I would like for a white noise machine. I wouldn't be able to sleep with him at such a high volume. At higher volumes, the music becomes more distorted and the sound becomes tinny. I don't notice the noise. The piano music is very nice and relaxing but if you want it louder it distorts. I suspect people complaining about the sound quality are playing music at a higher volume. My daughter was by my side as I tested various sound devices and she commented that this one had the best sound quality. I share this opinion. The silicone brace is soft and innovative. It's easy to use and holds up very well. I wouldn't worry about it falling off anything you choose to attach it to. I gave it a little tug and it stretched a little but stayed in place. Flexibility means it sticks well to more things and won't scratch them. The night light is directional, so you can rotate the device to get more or less light. I don't see a way to dim it. The night light has its own button so turning it on or off is optional. Some portable audio devices have only a few buttons with two functions that you have to press long or short. It has multiple buttons that are easy to use. Another nice thing is that when you turn it on, it's still set to the last played sound. The lock option is a toggle that disables the rest of the buttons, including lights and power. There are so many thoughtful features on this little machine. It's perfect for both babies and adults. It's small enough to travel with, so you can use it to hide some hotel noises for a better sleep. 5 Stars! Hope that helps!
