I originally ran the zoom -Camera setup with a Nikon D600 and 24-70. The lens was too heavy for this hand. I took off and put on a 24-85 whale lens, which weighs a lot less. The mount fits this configuration and allows me to attach it to the monitor stand. I was impressed by this little lever. It tightens all the ball joints along the center joint. When you tighten the middle joint, all the joints tighten. I suggest you find the configuration, tighten it, and then place the camera on it. I also suggest you use your own 1/4 thread tripod head instead of screwing it directly into the bottom of the camera. Overall a great product at an affordable price.
