I have 3 of these now - small, medium and large I think. The smallest fits in my computer bag for day trips - I carry a second shirt and put my pants back on the second day - no luggage needed. This size fits multiple shirts and a pair of pants. The larger one will fit an extra item or two than this one. I travel 20-30 times a year for a total of 2-5 day trips. I swear by Eagle Creek's duffel bags on all my travels. I needed this medium size because I had just bought a 4 wheeler that was about an inch shorter than my old carry on which was the next size up. I bought my first one at least 5 years ago and it still looks brand new. The included plastic divider/folding screen is printed with folding instructions to help you on your first outings and also helps to hold shape so items don't get crushed. My only packaging advice is to use dry-cleaned plastic between folded items. It really helps with wrinkles.
