UPDATE: DEEP UNSTABLE HDMI OUT ON TWO SERIES DEVICES: I found a better adapter at Revain

UPDATE: The replacement cable sent to me didn't work either. However, I just bought another adapter from Revain from a specialist electronics manufacturer called HooToo - yes, it cost about 25% more, but it had two more USB ports, a couple of smart card slots, and an HDMI output. solid (plus simultaneous loading is faster on Hootoo. Anyway, this is the Revain link for HooToo: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M6R3CPB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 NOTE: If you're buying a LG ThinQ phone to work, you can read my original review below Both this device and the one I'm holding are compatible with ThinQ phones and so far connect to the HooToo adapter out of the box UPDATE IN A FEW HOURS: This adapter would be a dream come true, but unfortunately it keeps losing signal - it has something to do with a defective cable I'll get back to my 5 star review in a timely manner on hooking it up __________________________________________________________________________ - Ok look at the pics, this one is nice A small device works perfectly with the LG ThinQ V35 provided your v35 is fully upgraded (I did a full upgrade to Windows 10 (Q) on an unlocked AT&T (v350AWM) variant of LG ThinQ V35 but I heard that LG also reinstated HDMI output in later Android 9 updates – we won't even discuss why LG had to re-enable HDMI video output in the latest Android updates, as it makes absolutely no sense why they would disabled a feature supported by your hardware in the first place). I can confirm that when using this device, you can charge it at the same time by plugging a regular charger into the USB-C port of this adapter. Not sure if this includes fast charging, but who cares? Hooray, everything works. My first photo shows Android Q's desktop mode, which it claims is somewhat equivalent to Samsung Dex. I don't know how to use desktop mode yet, but it doesn't matter. You can easily toggle the notification on your phone to switch to screen sharing mode for "normal" HDMI mirroring (see my second photo). Please note that in any case if you have more than one HDMI or other "input" port on your TV, you will definitely need to use your TV remote control to select the correct HDMI port (the one that comes with your phone, tablet or laptop is connected). ). ). Also note that when using screen sharing, you must disable your phone's screen sleep setting, because when your phone's screen is asleep, so is the TV's screen. This device seems to work on ALL ThinQ models with updated operating systems (I bought it based on reviews that said it works on other models). However, I only tested it on LG v35. I suspect it should work with Samsung Dex devices as well, but Samsung owners will need to test it to be sure. PS: This particular seller, QGeeM, does the exact same thing. device, but with an HDMI connector, and this model is about five dollars cheaper. I assume that the cheaper device will work equally well with the HDMI video output, but only this model supports USB-C simultaneous charging.
