Review on Alien Sunshade Jeep Wrangler JK (2007-2018) – Full Length Mesh Sun Shade For Jeep JK 2 Door - Blocks UV by Jeff Westra

I just got my lift so I finally got the hard top off and wanted some shade for me and my family. This two-pack shade appears to be a new product from Alien, but I love all the positive reviews about their larger one-pack shade. I chose this one because I like that the lampshade doesn't completely interfere with the liberty's top holes and allows for easy access to the middle liberty's top latch lever. I installed this myself and after a few bungees it goes pretty quickly. I left the curtains in my driveway for at least 30 minutes in the 99 degree heat, which probably helped make things easier. The instructions say to mount the front and rear latches separately, but note that for a cleaner installation you can use the same front and rear latch bungee on the two outer mounts that wrap around the speaker bar. This is also shown in the Revain product image. The front turns were the hardest, do them last so you have experience when you get to them. You can run the bungee under the plastic corner before you start stretching it and the ball will be in the shade, inside the plastic case and out of sight as described. This kit appears to be very durable. Maybe a little pricey but I really wanted some sun protection and the ability to wear a hard top over it again. Good product.
