In the form supplied, I think it was connected incorrectly! The red light was on all the time. It doesn't matter what position the switch was in - on/off. This rendered the optional light function useless. It was necessary to swap the blue and black leads in the far left corner of the switch (when looking at the switch from the front). This actually did two things to improve the product: Not only does the red status light now illuminate properly ONLY when the switch is on and powered, but also when the switch is off the HOT and NEUTRAL Cable from the disconnected load. The instructions (in broken English) are useless. Basically, when the switch is on, the power is on. When the switch is off, the power is off. Once you have connected the wiring correctly, the product will work properly and as expected.
