Very nice glasses. The glass is thick and transparent. I use them to put laundry soap on the laundry mat and do one off bursts of energy. An ounce is only at the base of the threads. The only drawback is that the lid is made of cheap plastic; If you twist too hard you can break it, and there's no gasket to prevent leaks. Leaking isn't a major issue as they're as wide as they are tall so they don't tip over, but if you carry them in a bag and land on your side, the contents CAN leak.
