Review on πŸ”Š Infinity RS152 Reference Series 5-1/4" Dual Tweeter Surround Speakers - Pair (Black) - Unmatched Sound Quality by Michelle Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love these speakers.

I bought these speakers to replace some very old Infinity Primus bookshelf speakers that have served me well for many years. The Infinity RS152 solved a few problems for me: 1. The Primus speakers were too far from the wall and projected the sound outside of my hearing range, so I had to raise them up so I could hear them properly. 2. Old bookshelves projected all sound forward, which didn't work for my listening area. My current stereo components are: Marantz SR6500Infinity Alpha 50 Bi Wired in Front (They are old but still sound very good). Clipsch 200 watt subwoofer Infinity PC351BK Center Channel Infinity RS152 Rear Pro: The RS152 sound fantastic and are clearly audible throughout the listening area. The sound was projected 180 degrees, forcing the sound to fill areas that normal bookshelves just couldn't reach. Installing these speakers was easy and didn't seem to matter much from left to right where I mounted them on the wall, the sweet spot is quite wide. The sound goes well with my old Infinity speakers. Cons: Currently none. The sound of the Infinity RS152 is really good with everything I've offered them so far (music and movies). They offer very crisp, clear and high-quality sound (like all speakers based on Infinity CMMD). I don't expect them to get a lot of bass (that's not their job anyway), but the highs and mids sound amazing. The effect of projecting the sound 180 degrees instead of forward really improved the sound in my listening area. These speakers come straight out of the box. I have to play around with them a bit, break them down, but once I got my Audessy setup working, they integrated seamlessly into my setup.
