The magnets have been used and work. So when I had an issue with my wrist at the base of the thumb I figured it would be better than just sticking magnets on. Seems well made and the magnets are in the right place BUT the hole you put your thumb in? Well, it doesn't matter how I put it. It hurt my thumb. My husband can't wear it at all because he has big thumbs and mine are normal and small. But it cuts into the base of my thumb even though I wear it loose. I'll come back and see.
