Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Sony SEL F 2/28 E-Mount Sony Objektiv: A High-Performance Lens for Stunning Shots by Thu Hang Bach แ Œ

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not at all what I expected.

All painted in shortcomings. I will say one thing. I would never buy it if Sony had alternatives. Unfortunately, Sony lenses cost prohibitively huge amounts of money in terms of price-quality ratio. They make really bad glasses at a high price. I chose an inexpensive lens for 30 thousand - as a result, it crumbled. The Sony company is very disappointing. In terms of attitude to their products. There are also complaints about the work of the A7SII.

Pros
  • Aperture-fast. Not a bad focal length for use on a stabilizer, but still narrow. It focuses well in automatic mode in video shooting on the A7SII, this allows you to keep the subject in focus when changing the distance. A useful feature for me when I work alone without a focus puller.
Cons
  • Weak construct. For 30 thousand you get a lens assembled from cheap materials. Very strong distortion. The barrel is guaranteed to you. On medium, close-ups, it looks terrible. The focal length is ridiculous. And not a universal 35-ka, and not a wide-angle. I tried to shoot architecture with it - distortion and narrowness. 24 mm, paradoxically, but gives a much wider picture. The main drawback: the diaphragm closing system broke 3 months after use. I note that the lens was bought only for video shooting. That is, the aperture is always in the same position during the shooting. It didn't save. The lens fluttered the aperture back and forth for 30 seconds when the camera was turned on. At this point, you can't take anything. Waiting for initialization. The Sony service center was recognized as non-repairable. Now I'm going to return the money. I do not want to change to the same new one, I will look for an alternative.
