I fell in love with Altras in general. My last 4 pairs of shoes were alternative because of the nice toe cap and just a really good shoe. The zero-drop aspect wasn't as drastic for me as some reviews make it out to be, but of course don't overdo it when going zero-drop. As for this particular shoe, I bought it to do a Spartan Ultra and they did great at one race. I've also taken them on a long hike and they just worked. Well draining, allows good movement and holds up well. In general, I really like them, but I had a problem: they collected sediment in the shoe and rolled onto the top of my foot just under the balls of my feet. They cleaned up pretty well, but it happened a few times in the second round. If you have wide feet and want great shoes then the Altras are fantastic.
