This is by far one of the most reliable, best performing, and easiest wireless microphone systems I've ever used. I worked as a broadcast engineer for 28 years. and has spent the last five years in healthcare. I have used many wireless systems from Lectrosonics, Sony, Sennheiser, Rode, Azden and Audio-Technica and this AVX system delivers professional quality sound in a simple and compact package. unbelievable. My previous Sennheiser system was reliable but required a cable to connect the receiver to the XLR input and the antennas were fragile and eventually lost their flexible coating. Using a compact professional camcorder means that with other systems you need a hot shoe mount and a dual mount if you need more than one microphone, making the camera bulkier. Not with this system. The receiver plugs directly into the XLR connector, and on the days I need to hook up three mics to the mixer, the receivers fit easily. They also have solid build quality. The bodypack transmitter is made of metal, not plastic, and the receiver is also mostly metal. I recommend using Sennheiser mics with this system - spend a little more and get the MKE2. I tried using an unbranded mic as a backup and it didn't offer good anti-interference, so it picked up hum and sometimes crackling. I've never had that with a Sennheiser lavalier microphone. This system is worth every penny, especially if you're playing solo.
