The product corresponds to that declared. It is used to store spoons. I have it on our stovetop all the time, even when the stovetop gets hot from the oven. It can be washed in the dishwasher and used in the microwave. I haven't had any durability issues so far, but it's ceramic. So if you drop it on a hard floor, it's likely to chip or crack. It's so cute I got 2 packs because it was a better deal and I'm going to give one away for Christmas this year.
