Quality item but bad neoprene smell

This mouse pad is well made and comfortable and I was keen to keep it. However, it has an unpleasant neoprene smell and that doesn't suit me. I let it air out for a few days and even tried covering it with a towel. Nothing helped. Once it was on my desk I could smell the neoprene and that foul odor was wiped off my hands that were resting on the mouse pad. It's not an overwhelming scent, but it's enough to make me want to go back to it. If you are sensitive to the smell, don't take it. I gave 4 stars because otherwise it's very good. If it wasn't for the smell I would have given 5 stars.
