These speakers are a lot bigger than I expected. The retail price made me wonder if they would be any good, but turns out they are grossly underpriced in my opinion. They look really beautiful and the woodwork is exquisite. I placed it on the table next to my painting easel and connected to my iPad via Bluetooth in less than a minute. I hooked up my favorite rap artist, Tom McDonald, and it sounded almost as good as my LS50 set for about a tenth the price. I would never consider putting them in the area I'm painting and tend to paint everything neatly, but I wouldn't be alarmed if a little paint got on it. There's nothing on the right speaker other than a power and volume control, but it does have a nice remote that you can even use to mute bass and treble, which is a nice feature that's often missing on even much more expensive models. The overall look of these speakers screams quality, from the very nice cable connectors to the maple leaf fabric flag attached to the rear panel, be mindful of the country of manufacture. This is definitely a good setup for the office, bedroom, workshop or any other place where you want to listen while you work or play. Would definitely recommend and again you will get more than you pay for.
