I used to use disposable nursing pads and had to keep them in my diaper bag when I went. I had a friend tell me about Bamboobies reusable nursing pads and I gave them a try. What has changed in the game! I get very frustrated so nursing pads are a must if I don't want apple shaped wet stains on my shirts. They are so comfortable I forget they are there. There is a fabric side and a velor side. The velor side is the side you apply to the skin. It is very soft and gentle if you have sensitive nipples after feeding/expressing. I used them after applying lanolin to my nipples and there were no stains. They are easy to wash and dry. The only thing I noticed is that they somehow washed away the dark ones and now the velor side has gotten a bit darker. The product is not to blame. I received a package containing three pairs of pads (heart-shaped) and one pair of overnight pads (circle-shaped). Night time is a little thicker and helps if your breasts leak a little more at night like mine when feeding is less frequent. If you have a lot of spills, you probably need two packs so you have a pair for each day while some of them are in the wash. I used a pair a day due to the absorbency of the product. At night, when the child sleeps late, I find that the nightstands are too wet and need to be replaced. By wet I mean the velor side is wet. I have never had milk through pads. The fabric used prevents moisture from getting to the other side. This would make a great gift for a nursing mother-to-be and for any nursing mother who wants to find the best leak solution.
